My name Is Steve Carr and I'm the founder and managing director of Mindcanyon.
My mission is to provide evidence-based mental health, workpl;ace wellbeing and suicide first aid training and consulting to help organisations support the wellbeing of their employees.
As an acclaimed mental health trainer, my unique expertise lies at the intersection of corporate acumen, working in the NHS and authentic lived experience.
My background encompasses both managing teams in the NHS and being an integral team member for some of the world's largest companies, from Unilever to Nestle, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of workplace dynamics.
This dual perspective equips me with the tools to design and deliver impactful mental health strategies that resonate with both management and staff.
I am committed to helping businesses navigate the complexities of mental health in the workplace, striving for environments where wellbeing drives performance.
In April 2016, I completed a challenge to walk from one end of Britain to the other after experiencing a mental health breakdown in the workplace and being given a mental health diagnosis of PTSD.
Whilst I believe work was a contributing factor, it wasn’t the only factor.
The challenge was an attempt to raise awareness for mental health and homelessness whilst being in recovery and homeless myself.
While walking, I created Mindcanyon - Mental Health In Your Workplace on my mobile phone, a now award-winning mental health and suicide first aid training provider.
If you would like me to deliver a talk, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, Workplace Wellbeing or Suicide First Aid (SFA) UK training, drop me a message.
Training Program of the Year.
