The UK’s only externally accredited suicide prevention programme, on the Regulated Qualification Framework, this is the UK’s National Qualification in Suicide Prevention.
Course Content:
SFAUSI is comprised of 4 parts, each approximately 90 minutes duration.
The programme teaches and practices the skills and knowledge needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and competently intervene to help create suicide safety as a first-aid approach.

Methods Of Learning:
This is a 6 -hour (over two days) online course using tutor-facilitated class-based learning, tutor-led group work and audio-visual presentations.

Multi-sector practitioners, including health, housing, social care, education, criminal justice, call centre operators, private, voluntary and public sector workers and community member
This 6.5 hour course helps employees create a plan with their employers to discuss and address their workplace wellbeing needs.

Understanding the foundations of mental health, the concepts of wellbeing, and resilience, and their importance in our daily lives.
Identifying Stress and Burnout.
Learning to spot the early signs of stress and burnout, understanding the effects, and strategies to mitigate them.
Personal Strategies for Wellbeing.
Exploring personal coping mechanisms, the role of lifestyle choices, and creating a personal resilience plan.
Workplace Strategies for Resilience.
Addressing workplace stressors, communication techniques with management, and advocating for a supportive work environment.
Role of Management in Employee Wellbeing.
Empowering managers with the skills to support staff wellbeing, encourage open dialogue, and create a culture of wellness.
Developing a Personal Wellbeing Plan.
Crafting personalised wellbeing plans with actionable goals, regular monitoring and adjustment strategies.
Confidentiality and Collaboration.
Establishing a framework for confidentiality in discussions on mental health and fostering a collaborative workplace.

The 1/2 Day MHFA Refresher course is designed as a follow-up training for those who have previously completed a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course. This condensed refresher aims to update and reinforce their knowledge and skills in mental health first aid.
It's particularly beneficial for maintaining the effectiveness and confidence of MHFA practitioners in providing mental health support.
